No comparison!
As to how we were from initial contact (were we polite)?
Initial contact was great! You may remember that we first visited one of your existing customers in Henley. I honestly can’t remember the ladies name but she was really helpful, was happy to invite us round the next evening and was clearly delighted with the finished product. We subsequently (next weekend) arranged to come over to your manufacturing site and spent some time with Paul who explained in more detail how the product was conceived, how you manufactured, the options available and the process going forward. All really helpful, friendly and informative. We left knowing the whilst your product is roughly 2x the cost of “bog standard” bi-fold doors, in reality there is really no comparison. All the people we’ve shown so far have been blown away with the installation and at the moment they don’t look as good as they will with a finished floor and finished patio.
Arranging installation (were we on time and on schedule)
Installation was really simple – you and your team worked really well with my builder – Mike Nash @ BCS. We needed to delay the originally agreed upon date due to some extra worked required to install steels etc. Your team were able to flex the install date and work seamlessly with our builder to get the doors installed. Our builder commented how slick your team was installing the product. He’s so impressed I think it’s a feature he may well recommend to future clients working on similar projects.
Were we clean and tidy?
As clean and tidy as you can be on a proper building site!!
And finally are you pleased with our doors (would you Recommend us)?
We’re delighted. Obviously we’re not living with the door yet, but we’ve been over a few times and played opening and closing them. They look great in the building site location and we know they’ll look and work even better once we’re complete and decorated. I’m happy to update this section in April once we’ve been in for a while and happy to take some photos once we’re decorated and have the outside landscaping complete. I think they’ll look really special then!

Yes, happy to be listed, need to wait until March before we can really show them.

If we can help show your product – we’ll do so willingly. We both work so will need a little scheduling but in principle – absolutely.

From the start to the finish we felt comfortable with your staff and installers.
It was a product just as we had hoped and envisaged for our new House double glazed, frameless glass doors in 4 openings! Perfect.
The doors are a talking point and every body comments on how good they look! They are amazed when we open them to show them off. When the doors were first installed the overall affect was more than we could have hoped for, just exactly what we wanted – on time – in budget and wonderful to look at, the project has been completed to our satisfaction. All your people from Gary to installers obviously take a pride in their work, which is much appreciated. Absolutely brilliant product that we wish you good luck with in the future. Your fitters were on time on site and I managed to speak with them before they started. They were very helpful and offered me a solution for a small problem we had regarding the level of the bottom track, I was impressed that we found the best solution and they agreed to proceed with the work without any hesitation.
Their tools were left in one corner so they are not on the way of anyone, even though none of my guys were working I the same area, and they left no rubbish lying around.
I’m sure it was Adam I spoke to, and I can say that he is top notch guy, very friendly, polite and helpful.
Overall I would say that the provided service was very professional and definitely I would recommend you to my clients.

As to how we were from initial contact (were we polite)?
Staff were polite and prompt in answering telephone questions.
There were technical problems with our installation and staff were open and discussed options and were polite. The fitters were surprised at the distance they had to travel to reach us each time, although we had explained where we lived prior to proceeding with the installation to check whether the company would be happy to fit in our area. The fitters were tired and somewhat grumpy when they arrived each time, but then went on to do a good job.

There were delays prior to fitting, and then delays in arranging the corrections needed due to a technical error, but once dates were set they were kept.
Were we clean and tidy?
Yes inside the house. We had to clear metal shavings outside the house.
And finally are you pleased with our doors (would you Recommend us)?
We are pleased with the doors. They are stylish and provide flexibility in the home as we wished. We were hoping for better sound insulation, so if other enquirers need sound insulation within the home we would recommend they have double glazed internal frameless doors rather than the single glazing that we bought.
We would recommend the company and the product.

A heartfelt thank you from us. We knew we wanted something a bit special to set off our extension, which has been absolutely essential in making our new home work for the family. We scoured the internet for something that would allow an uninterupted view of the planned garden but would also allow us to throw back the glass in the summer to bring the garden into the house. As soon as I visited the farm, I felt that the frameless glass doors would be the perfect solution, the ingenuity and build quality set them apart from anything I had seen. Once the decision was made, the process was incredibly painless and I think we had them installed within 4 weeks. The installation team were great, ironing out a few challenges along the way, they finished 2 sets of glass curains in a under a day. They look amazing and make such huge difference to the feel of the room. Can’t wait to get the carpets down to start using it!

“Visiting the FGC factory before a site viewing was the best decision we made.
Very few of the reviewers make any mention of the apparent simplicity that disguises the cleverness and ingenuity in this way of dealing with a large size glazed opening. At the factory the finer details behind the design were explained, and the level of engineering precision became apparent.
A later site viewing and meeting an existing owner only further confirmed what we had seen at the factory, and reinforced our belief that FGC was absolutely the only product suitable for this house.
Since the installation, a dramatic improvement in insulation and noise attenuation was immediately apparent when the window is closed, but the ease with which the window can be opened up and stowed discreetly to one side is quite breath taking and magical.
If you have considered FGC and have read this far, I urge you to contact them and see for yourself this brilliant design.

We had 3 sets of doors installed in April. We had searched far and wide for bifold doors and those supplied by FGC were undoubtedly the most striking. We have had favourable comments from visitors and the doors are functioning well. Our dealings with FGC have been excellent and they have attended since the installation to make some adjustments. Although this is an expensive product, it looks stunning and has performed well. FGC worked closely with our builder and this ensured a straightforward installation. I would not hesitate to recommend the firm and the doors.
