Design Specification
Our unique extrusions, side columns, tracks and profiles are all manufactured in the UK, as are our Frameless Doors. All units are manufactured to comply with BS6375 Part 1 2004.
The profiles on doors are connected to the tracks by means of a flag, including spacers which slide inside along the tracks. The tracks contain turning mechanisms which automatically tell us where the doors are to open. Doors can only be opened at gates, which are 13mm by 5mm, which makes them compliant to PAS24. The side columns expand by turning an internal handle, which in turn pushes the doors together to provide a weatherproof seal (wind and rain) BS6375 Part 1 2009.
How our doors work.
All doors slide on our purpose designed wheel system so the majority of the weight is at the bottom. Therefore, no additional reinforcing is required at the point of installation. Once the main working door is opened, the remaining doors then slide, stack and fold in the same location. As all doors are slim-line (45mm), they only take up a small amount of space. Our Frameless Doors can be stacked to either one or both sides of the opening, or a combination of the two. They can be opened inwards or outwards.
The door locking mechanism can only be accessed from the inside and uses a key situated within the handle for security purposes. There is no locking mechanism on the outside. When opening the main door, just turn the key and handle – the door will automatically spring back to allow you to open and close the door.
The framework is produced from powder-coated aluminium, manufactured in the UK and can be supplied in any RAL colour you specify.
