The property already had an overhead open porch and canopy, with an existing design that’s ideal for closing off with transparent glass doors and glass fixed panels, closing off the area and creating a new fresh look the house.
Our frameless glass porch design comprises an offset central single door with a glass sidelight on either side at the front. T the side return is another fully glazed panel. Also provided at the corner in a satin metal finish is an internal corner post.
We use only thick safety glass to our frameless porches, expertly machined to accept the hinges, door locks and other essential fittings. As a frameless design, the overall look is super-minimal, with only the bare minimum of hardware visible.
Transparency and great looks are at the heart of our bespoke porch products, creating a covered area in front of the front door. At the same time, this frameless glass porch in Hampshire creates a new space, adding a level of sound protection and insulation in front of the existing timber door and side panels.
We’ve provided a sprung metal handle with a latch and additional locking to the main door. The modern metal hinges feature a hold-open facility. And because this acts as the main entrance without needing full weather sealing, there’s no threshold at the bottom of the door. As a result, there’s no stepover, and the glass door looks seamless where it meets the existing slabs.
The glass provided is clear toughened, thicker for strength and with smooth polished edges.
