A folding door with more opening options.
A conventional bifolding door is a series of connected leaves that move together when opened. Study a full framed aluminium bifolding door and you’ll see all the leaves held together by their door hinges. When the doors are folded open, pushing one panel enables all the door panels together to fold and then slide.
Our frameless glass folding doors offer a slide and stack opening function giving you more flexibility. Unlike a typical aluminium folding door you get more features and control.
How do slide and stack doors work?
The first great feature of our doors is independent sliding of each door panel. This gives greater ventilation options for your doors without having to fold all the leaves back.
Even if you choose to partially open your bifolding doors, ours take up less space because they don’t need to fold to provide ventilation.
On a conventional door, a partial opening means the leaves fold either in or out and take up space. With our doors, all you need to do is open one leaf only and then slide each panel along the track as much or as little as you like. You can then choose to have doors that offer a little ventilation or a lot.
Flexible opening options with a slide and stack folding door.
When you need to open your bifolding doors you benefit from more options again. Our doors are designed to slide along their tracks rather than slide and fold at the same time. Once they reach their end point, the hardware engages enabling you to turn the leaf inwards or outwards to the fully open position. You repeat this procedure with each panel that slides and folds until all doors are folded open giving you an open bifolding door.
Our doors are made from thermally efficient and ultra slim aluminium. When you fully open your doors you’ll benefit from stacked folding doors that take up substantially less space when open than any conventional aluminium bifolding door. So you can benefit from all the advantages a bifolding door brings whilst saving on bulk when the doors are open thanks to their slide and turn ability.
