Open-plan living in recent years has been one of the most popular ways of renovating the home. Creating open plan living spaces may involve a new extension or knocking down walls on an existing property.
Open plan living has been enhanced with the use of large windows and folding doors. Our own frameless bifolding doors have enhanced many homes. In creating a large living or dining space you can create a light, a sociable room and a flexible one. Well designed open plan living spaces are also known to add value to a property for sale.
How to make internal space better with frameless folding doors.
Despite all the advantages of open plan living it’s not for everyone and it may actually have disadvantages. For example there’ll be less walls to position shelves or furniture.
Items left in other areas of the living space may show it as being cluttered. Those who have separated a space to create a home office may find it noisy and distracting. A children’s play area may make the room look untidy.
With our frameless room dividers and folding doors, it is possible to retain all the light and feeling of space but have added flexibility when needed and the ability to close of areas of the space.
What glass doors can be used inside the home?
At Frameless Glass Curtains we offer a choice of frameless door products that can help make your open plan living spaces more comfortable and quiet when needed as well as create an extra room when required.
We offer a range of single and double hinged doors. These are manufactured from high quality aluminium patch fittings with a choice of contemporary handles. They can feature ultra low threshold or even no threshold at all.
For larger spaces our frameless bifolding doors are great to close off an entire wall or separate a conservatory. These come with a very low threshold, a choice of door leaves and virtually unlimited colour choice. These are available as slide and turn doors, sliding and folding doors too.
You can choose from either single or double glazed doors, a choice of primary door leaves, doors that can open in or out and many other options.
We can even create corner screens incorporating our doors to provide a lobby area to a large hallway or closed off space to provide a quiet workspace. At the same time there is no compromise on light transmission or loss of the open plan arrangement.
